whatup!
hey everyone,
i think this community is a really great idea.

anyway this is my bike
or at least this a picture of the same exact bike i have, minus the
basket holder. i dont have a good camera to use right now, so i hunted down
my bike on google.

and this is my doggie, mr. bojangles

actually, i've sorta got sad stories for both. bojangles was taken about two months ago, and no one has
responded to the flyers i put up. and tiger (my bike) had it's seat stolen about a week ago. the seat
was big, fat, brown, super comfy, and had springs, (sorta like the one in the pic). it completely made the bike, and someone ripped it. no one has responded to flyers i put up about it either. but i think i may have found a good replacement.

anyway, i just bought this super amazing vintage (70's maybe) schwinn roadbike for all of.. $3! it
needs a seat, some pedals, rear brakes need fixing, and probably new brake pads. im really excited
about fixing it up and once i do i'll post pics.

okay!
i don't have any pictures of my bike right now and i'm kind of ashamed of it, anyway.
but!
prepare for cuteness overloadCollapse )

and let me be the first to say, as you will probably agree, that this community should also include musical instruments.

I'm 2nd

this is my fixie (and my one and only bike). It's been really easy for me to adjust to fixed gear considering I used to ride a singlespeed and trained myself to not coast as much as possible.

and this is Bella.

ps. I hope you guys and gals know once we get more people involved we are going to have cute pets/awesome bike contests.
and battles, too.

what the hell, I'll kick it off!

This bike is MUCH faster than its huge back tire and super-wide bars would lead you to believe. My commute time is about 2/3 of what it takes me on my fixie even with the trailer. The acceleration is out of this world. I pick up the front wheel at almost every light on accident (stupid twitchy legs). I wanna do an alley cat on it, just to see how it'd do.

I NEVER top out on this bike. As a matter of fact, I use the big ring once a week or less at this point (let's just say I learned to spin in the past few months). I used to be a big-ring stomper, but now I PASS the big-ring stompers:)

I almost forgot!
